‘Beginners’ Classes

This class will take you through some of the basic Zentangle techniques, with no previous experience required, as we will cover all you need to know to get you started tangling straight away. During the class you will be taught the Zentangle method and we will look at different tangles and how they are created. We will also look at some basic shading of the tangles that we have created.
At the beginning of class, you will be given a Zentangle kit, which comprises of the following items and materials: drawing pen, pencil, tortillion for blending and Zentangle tiles. Everything that you create and use in class, you may also take home with you.
There will also be some additional Zentangle supplies and materials available, should you wish to purchase these at class. If you need reading glasses for close up work, then please do bring these with you.

‘Beginners Plus’ Classes

For those of you, who have already attended a ‘Beginners’ class and have been bitten by the Zentangle bug, this ‘Beginners Plus’ class is for you! During our time together we will explore new and exciting tangles, and rediscover some of our favourites.
As the main focus of this class, we will delve into the theory of strings and how they can help guide us through the creation process. This can be a very useful part of the Zentangle method to focus on, as this is something that can initially feel a bit challenging at the start.
However, as usual, you will be gently guided through the process in a relaxed and supportive manner, enabling you to accomplish more unique and beautiful creations.
For this class, please do bring your Zentangle kit with you. As usual there will be some additional Zentangle supplies available to purchase, should you wish to.

Beginners’ Shading Classes – NEW

For those of you, who have already attended a ‘Beginners’ class and have been bitten by the Zentangle bug, this ‘Beginners’ Shading’ class is for you!
The feedback from the vast majority of our students who attend Zentangle classes is around wishing to find out more about shading. Particularly, when they see what a huge difference shading can add to their existing artwork..
For some students though, it can feel a little overwhelming at first. However, as always, help is at hand. During this introductory class on shading, we will start on our journey of delving more into how we can slowly and confidently add the “colour” of shading to our artistic creations. We will also look at how we can shade the same tangle in different ways and how this can change the look and feel of it.
For this class, please do bring your Zentangle kit with you. As usual there will be some additional Zentangle supplies available to purchase, should you wish to.
