Hello my name is Rachel O’Callaghan and I am extremely excited and very proud to say I became a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) in June 2015 and have tangled since 2013.
I live in Woking, Surrey, in the UK and offer Beginners Zentangle classes with additional class topics coming soon. Do follow the Tangleroc blog to be the first to know.
In the meantime, for who are interested to know a little bit more about me, I thought I would share with you a bit about my Zentangle journey and what Zentangle means to me.
For me, the part which I most enjoy when tangling is the peace and tranquillity which I experience, along with the quietening and slowing down of my busy mind. And then the added bonus being, at the end of the process, seeing an unexpectedly beautiful piece of artwork coming to life in front of me.
In 2015, I was extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to go to America to attend the CZT training seminar hosted by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas, the founders of Zentangle. This was a fantastic experience for me as I met lots of like-minded others, with some becoming firm friends, along with the end result of attaining my CZT certification (a very proud and happy moment for me).
Being part of the whole Zentangle community is an extremely warm and supportive experience, and welcoming to everyone who joins, and I am very much looking forward to sharing some of those experiences with you.
With warmest regards
